Wasnt sure where to post this but Im sick of having to pull my stang up on 2x4's to jack the thing up. It litterally takes 10 minutes for me to get it up in the air. So im going to throw in some money and buy a low profile jack. Does anyone have any recomendations??? Id love one with a really long arm

 

what I did is take (2) 6x6's and cut them from corner to corner and made 2 low profile ramps, I drive them up that then I have enough room to put my jack under and jack it up works pretty good!

Ive used the Craftsman low profile jack before and its gravy. The thing is up in very few pumps which is a sweet feature.

Best thing to do is find a friend with one and make sure it will fit under your car without the 2x4's.

 

i broke down and baught a blue point racing jack from my snap-on dealer, it was around 400 and came with matching jack stands. its got a "Low height of 3 1/2 inches; maximum lift height of 17 3/8". Handle length of 47 1/2". mine is at full lift in 6 pumps. i like it because its got a padded handle that if you accidently hit the car it will do no damages.

 

sometimes my normal michelin big floor jack fits under my car but sometimes i have to use my other low profile cheapo jack to lift it a bit and then take over with my big jack

 

i just use the 2x4 method but ill have to get something soon when i lower the foush

 

We usually use one of those little cheap $30.00 jacks from Walmart. It's really low profile and it gets it high enough to throw some stands under it.

 

Yup I've been using the same cheap walmart jack for 15 years.

 

I need me one of those too...
