almost all cobra rims are fake. very few will have come from FRPP on a cobra since they make so few cobras.

the fake ones hardly look different than the real ones. If yours are real they will have the Ford racing or Ford logo of some sort on the back somewhere.

I have the fordracing ones but there definatly a older version. I think i have the 2000 cobra rims. They cam stock on my 2002 mustang which also has a 1.5" lower and dual side exhaust. All that stuff was done by california concepts but was bought stock or something like that i dunno. It just has a decal on the back that says california concepts.

not to hijack the thread but would the centercap size be sightly different between the real cobra's and the fake cobra's??

i had bought some silver cobra's off my friend and about 3 months ago i bought a set of black cobra rims off AM, the centercaps from the silver ones are just a tad big for the black ones, had to beat them on there. the black rims centercaps (flaming M) is a lil bit too small for the silver rims...

that's a fact. there's 2 different sizes. 1 you usually find on OEM rims and the other normally on after-market but not all after-market.

yea that's the first thing i did was swap out the flamming M's w/my cobra centercaps. so, say i order replacements from AM, would they be the ones that fit the OEMs or the aftermarkets? the M's just fall right out of the silver cobra rims, which i didn't see any type of ford marking on, so i believe they're fake..
