Planning on getting the windows tinted and I was wondering what tint percentage you guys have on the front windows. Trying to figure out what percent I should get since "legally" no tint on the front windows is allowed.

 

my stang has 20%on the fronts but there are alot in the area that have the 5% cops seem alot more leanent towards tint on our type of cars. im from the lasalle peru ottawa area

 

i would just leave your fronts untinted, but it's your call. Eventually you will get pulled over for something else (speeding for me) and have the tint ticket tacked on there, and you will have to remove it then. It could happen right after you get them tinted, it could happen in a couple years. it took me like 6 months. either way you'll eventually have to remove the tint you paid for, and probably have to pay to get it removed at that.


Eh, on second thought do what ever you want.

 

I think 20% all around looks really good. Looks dark, but you can still see (kind of) at night.

Just don't do anything to get pulled over and you'll be fine.

 

Guy I know got 20%,sucks at night. I'd never do it.

 

I have 20 up front and limo in the back and i got pulled over once. I had them put on last august, so its not that bad. if your planning on tinting the front, i would go with whatever you want because if you are going to get pulled over, your going to get pulled over no matter what percentage it is. As for seeing out at night with 20%, its easy as hell. Limo gets a little tricky while backing up though.

i was going to go with the legal limit when i went, and after seeing the difference in the tints, there was no question to go with anything other than 20%. 35 and up just didnt seem worth the money...it was barely noticeable.

got one ticket, but onyl becuaase i was speeding, you will only get pulled over and ticketed if you are doing something else wrong

I had 35% on my old 2004 mustang and was picking up a guy from Ohare and while driving through one of the smaller cities around Ohare I got pulled over and ticketed for tint, I was not doing anything else I was actually stopped at a train and the cop came from the side as I was sitting and pulled me.

Im not even from ILL, maybe that is why he did it. Oh well it was only $25.

well just got back from the tint shop and ended up going with 15% on the rear and 35% in the front. Looks good

 

I got 28 all millennium series tint and it's the best nicest looking tint job I've ever seen, not to be an ******* or anything .
