My car has 25k and the struts and shocks are good. No leaking or funny ride.
Have you guys lowered your cars without replacing the struts and shocks?
Will it ride funny if you dont. I know on some cars like my old Grand Prix if you just do springs it gets really bouncy.

 

My old stang would bottom out and it hurt like ****ing hell.

do the shocks, you'll thank yourself in the end

 

i've got an 03 GT and all i got were springs...i got the eibach sportline kit and it rides fine. its not bouncy AT ALL! its WAYYYYY more stiff than it was with the stock springs...i'm still gonna replace the shocks and struts though...but it's not a MUST right now

I consider it a bad idea. It's not going to handle near its potential.

 

I would not advise that as well. When you go over a dip on expressway is when you really notice it as with new aftermarkert shocks it will stabilize quicker and with blown factory shocks car will bottom out and rebound harder. Factory shocks are for factory height you will eventually blow them out.

 

I've done the cheap thing and tried just springs. I bottomed the hell out of my car, enough to damage a k-member. do it right... it's a couple hundred bucks to have it perfect.
