ok so i was reading an old mustang mag and there was talk about the super six mustang. from what i got they bored out the 3.8 and they said by doing that it was now a 4.3L. Ahh i dont under stand did they put in a new engine or does boring out increase it to a 4.3l??????

 

My guess is they used the stroker kit they have to increase it to a 4.2L. And then bored the engine .30 over i believe or something like that. Because when you bore a 302 .30 over during a rebuild it takes displacment to a 306.

 

They use that and the F150 crank (v6 97-04 F150's) to increase the displacement up.

 

so if i bored out my car what could i make 4.0?

 

people say you could push it all the way to a 4.5 maybe even 4.6

 

that be kinda cool a 4.6 v6 lol

 

yeah i think to go all the way to 4.6 you have to change quite a bit i cant remember for sure though it was talked about before
