keyless remotes

Default keyless remotes

when i bought my mustang i only recieved a key. i bought a remote off of ebay. it works. now if i were to get another one would it have to have the same fcc number? or does it matter?

so wait a second.....you can buy a random remote off ebay and it will work on any car?

I have one from a 04 that works fine on my 99.

You just have to program it according to the sequence in the owners manual.

they sell them car specific. they have them for all brands of cars.
