Getting the itch....
I have not driven the Mustang since Oct 31st. It is now mid-March and the weather is showing signs of turning. Today was very nice in the Twin Cities....mid 50's.
Not sure if I am gonna start my insurance back up 4/1 or just wait until 5/1. I still need to get the car fixed, which I shoudl have ready this week. Need another return visit from my mechanic.
I found a great guy who is a college student at University of Minn. He has ben building cars and motor since he was 12 and has built 3 motors for his current Mustang. Really nice guy and smart as hell.
I actually hired him to do some work for me. He comes right to the house and brings all his tools.
I have him replacing my belt (done), replace my tensioner (done), drain and flush all my coolant (done), oil (done), replace my oil filter housing (in progress), replace my blower oil return line that was leaking and upgrade to AN fittings (in progress), and make a repair to my blower oil supply line. He also corrected an issue with a wire strap, and found a loose idler pully.
I am going to have him install a oil separator and a safety loop too.
We do all the work together so I can learn. Some stuff I do and he watches....either way it has been a nice arrangment for both of us.

BTW, we only talk about the cold weather, so people don't move here.
Funny thing is that despite it's shitty winters, MN is still rated the #2 most livable state. I wonder what it would rank if the winters were warm? Then again, the massive amounts of people would ruin it.

yeah but the downside is most of us here in California drive our mustangs year round and rack up the miles. And these east coast guys get to have a stang for 5 years and maybe only have 40,000 miles

well, temps gonna drop back down to mid 40s in mine and blakes area. i have the car on jackstands so I cant just go pull it out, it takes effort. it keeps me from driving it, and my tires from flatspotting.
itll probably be pulled out the end of this month or the end of april, depending on how the weather is.
