Default Keyless Entry....

Anyone ever thought of getting one of these? I have broke two remotes in two years and am ready to do away with them.

I like the idea but I would hate sticking that anywhere to my car, I would stick out so bad.

Here's a pic of how bad it looks: (I know it's kind of hard to see but it's the only picture I've got)

Oh, BTW, I wouldn't mount it where they show in the pic. It would probably be on top of the door. Also, somewhere there is a Keyless entry keypad that replaces the cowl.

what do you mean by breaking fobs? are you literally cracking the plastic into pieces?
UPR (the same people who supply MT with thingsl ike inserts) have a fob that you just transfer the internals of your old one to the new one, which is made out of billet aluminum. (available in satin or polished) UPR-Billet Remote Case

Just a thought... better than mucking up your pony... hell you could even anodize this black, or blue, or paint it to match the pony...

My car came with one when I bought it... it looks horrible, thus I took it off a week after buying the car.

Thought of this option but unfortunately, only the cover is made of Aluminum. The back (where the key chain goes through) is still plastic.

you had to like, fill in the holes left by it and ****? ouch
my pony is going into the shop today to get out a few dings that were there when i bought the car a couple months ago... they are BARELY visable and are to the upper right of the fuel door... makes you think they missed a couple times. and a small dent to the right of that, so it should be done quick

Nope, it is peel and stick and can be removed without damage.

It is wireless, it uses the same frequency as the remotes.

Nope! The back of it is metal...it's just black instead of polished billet like the top. I've got two of 'em and unless you run it over with a steam roller, you can't break 'em...

You would think differently if I can find a pic of the cowl mounted control.

Are you talking about the drop of part right at the back part of the hood?

Actually, you don't even see it. Buttons sit flush. It was cool but I don't think it is available anymore.

I dont have a problem. Although a buddy at work did break my remote so I made him switch the casing from an expedition and now ive got a nice one again. If I did have the problem id get the UPR one probably. Im not fond of that huge keypad on my car.
