What did I miss with the civic boy, spike and Iceballs?

This forum is going to hell... in fact... its already gone down the shitty...

It wasn't like this when I joined here...

Its like the forum is in self destruct mode...

Sad part is that only Jack the Ripper and myself realize that...

 

haha umm ive noticed many fun aim discussions with board members about this forum going down hill

I don't pay any attn to the "drama" threads, only the one's that matter. Guess Im not here enough to see what you are seeing.

 

well you see...

there was a time... (that time was september/october and back) where this place was buzzing with members...

Everynow now and then we'd have bad load times, or the server would go down... but it wasn't too bad...

And we had ALOT of active members... I can't even sit here and list em all... every now and then you might see one of these members... like grimmz or milos... or theres the members like floppy... that don't even bother no more...

We would joke and make fun of each other... and mattJ would edit any posts directed at him to make they say something stupid about the original poster...

But things began to change...

They made changes to the forums... which who the heck really cares... not that big of a deal...

Then we had some weird hostility... this involved everyone getting pissed at one or two members for some stupid reason... (danny, stang00)

Now we always joked and had fun... but this was a bit different... it was taken up a few levels... and still is...

Well then AM / MT got sick of the forums and disowned us... Can't say I blame them...

So we got yahoo! ads... which is sooo cool... If I need some viagra or want to upgrade the acura I aint got... all I gots to do is log on to MTforums!

And the forums like to do this thing where... several weeks of posts disappear and the forum brings back month old threads for various periods of time... Like a Time Machine...

And at least once a day the forums just don't work... or are slow as ****...

results...

This place is dead... people rarely post, or even log on...

And when Jack The Ripper or myself bring up the topic... It gets shot down...

Because Chris and myself are absolute loonies cause we like the place...

 

ive realize it too. i just try to keep a optimistic view. i think that it is only a phase and it will get better come the summer when everyone has thier stangs out.

I do see the same people replying to my threads and not everybody in general. Not that I want EVERYONE to reply, but I see what you are saying. I hope you know what I mean. I came here a while ago and was "welcomed" to the family. I did have a brief "moment" w/the kid who wanted to start a dis thread about hating cops, but I am I cop so I hope everyone forgives me. Hope it lasts. If it doesn't you guys can come to my clubs site.

Be forwarned tho,,,ther is NO Drama at all there. I'll say it now tho sir, thanks for all your kind replies. I will continue to keep you posted on the status of the "Cobra Killer." Man, I better be packing some cajones to be saying such a thing!!!

There is nothing wrong with the site. Infact its alot better now that alot of the homo's are gone.

 

too bad its not just the homos...

Its also alot of cool guys like floppy, and people that don't even post enough to count...

Well I guess if the perfect forum for you is just that... you... then cool... You could sit and talk to yourself all day...

I guess most of us liked it better with all the homos...

This board goes in cycles.....I have been here since the beginning and it has ups and downs. Members come and go....it is all part of life. Many of the boards that I used to frequent are deader then dirt. I checked on the other day and I had the last post which was in October.

Peoples lives change. Some are new to owning a Mustang and some sell the one they have. Some just discover the forums, while others have lif-altering change like a move, a baby, or buying a house. These events also make people leave....or show up. It is just the natural order of things.

One "set-back" we have is that we don't own the site so we can't control certain things.

Also, when discussions stick to conversatons about Mustangs, then this site is at it's best. It is when we get derailed and people think that they can change the minds of others about a topic un-related to Mustangs, then people just get upset. Things get too personal.

This is just the internet.....if you are fretting too much about conversations on this board or any other then it might be a good time to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you are spending too much time on computer.

 

ive noticed tons of ppl missing............i cant even remember names its been so long

ive also noticed it seems like no1 buys mods for there cars nemore......not 2 many new pics or videos but it is winter i guess

 

If you give me money I will buy mods for my car!

 

Ive done a few things to my car. I just dont post about it every time i get something.
