My guess would be sounds like SLP or Magna Packs, I don't have it, but one thing I've learned is lots of clamps=exhaust leaks.... and I'm not a big fan of rolled tips. My .02

Looks a little larger than the Loudmouths, bout the same as the Magnapacks. Good price though? Pick em up and let us know.

Based on the sound clips, I picked one up. My Flows have rotted on the inside, I have an annoying high pitch rattle that has to go.

 

i recently installed that exhaust system on my car with an o/r h-pipe and a host of other parts. i have to say i am very pleased. i have had flows and the slp both with o/r pipes on my 2 previous mustangs and i am most pleased with the sound of these. flows are to high piched and slp with an o/r pipe is just to loud. the resonators on this exhaust are bigger than slp and absorb more noise but only enough to make it driveable. it has a real deep tone and there is interior resonance of course but it really opens up when you get on it. i was a little worried it would be just like the slp but it's nothing like it. this is the best exhaust i purchased so far. BUT like everyone else has said, the install is a bit tough. it comes in 5 pieces per side and it's tricky as hell and i would recommend welding it together, just don't do the one before the axle in case you need to remove it. well that's my 2 cents. hope it helps.

 

So I did the install of the SSS exhaust this weekend. Looks and sounds great but have some minor issues with the overall fit and the clamp quality. First and foremost, I had to butt weld 4 inches of 2.5 pipe to the end of one of the pipes to get the exhaust tip to come out past the rear bumper (so the exhaust wouldn't melt my bumper). I only had to do it to the driver's side, passenger side fit fine? The clamps that are used are a stainless band clamp with stainless bolts and nuts. We were by no means over torquing the bolts, but once we had to loosen them to move the pipes around (once they clamp, the pipes move slightly and needed further adjustment), the soft stainless threads would chew up and lock. We broke 1/2 of the bolts for the clamps trying to loosen them? With the clamps tightened all the way (with new bolts) some of the pipes were still loose, I could move them by hand still.

Now, the clearance of the exhaust was great, doesn't come close to the axle and there's plenty of room for wider tires without rubbing. I loved the adjustable tips. I'm now paying a muffler shop to have it all welded up today so it seals and won't move around so much (I am a little dissapointed I had to do this, had I known, I would have had them install it in the first place and saved myself a couple of weekend hours for something else).

I would say if they included a better quality (and slightly smaller ID) band clamp and lengthened the last pipe prior to the tips to allow for more adj, it would be a class A exhaust. It does sound great, nice idle and great tone when you get on it. Less raspy than my flows and not as loud as SLP but louder than the magnapak. We'll see once I pick it up today.

The attached picture shows where i had to do the butt welding to allow the tip to come out past them bumper (The tip does not stick out that far, the picture was before we positioned it and welded it on also).

This is Jeff, I helped develop the SSS exhaust. I truely appreciate the positive and critiqued comments, it helps us develop the best system that we can.

We have been listening when people call or email and have the following changes planned:
* Smaller and stronger 1" Band Clamps that fit tigher.
* One less junction overall (one less clamp on each side)
* Slightly longer tubes that can be adjusted to come beyond the bumper if desired.

For those with the kits, we have additional band clamps being built if needed and extra long driver side pipes being built.
