Default ATTN: People who have installed Mid-pipe and Catback

I have an SLP o/r x-pipe and SLP catback exhuast. I was thinking about installing these by myself. People who have installed it themselves how hard was it? Any complications or troubles, or pain-in-the-*** areas of the install? By the way I have an 01 GT. And I am moderatley* skilled with cars.

*have installed such things as bumpers, CAI, TB and Plenum

It's not that hard if you can get it lifted up high enough to work under the car.Cutting off the stock pipe for the catback is probally the hardest part in my opinion.

That was the fun part I cut that sucker off with my recip. saw with a cobelt blade took like 20 sec each side.....Just make sure when intalling dont tighten everything right away make sure there is enough looseness to manuver the pipes around untill you have them right in place then tighten.

I did it with jack stands and a jack. It will take you half the time if you have someone doing the other side along with you.

Just remember, your best friend when unbolting the manifold nuts, is PB Blaster, I recommend picking some up, BEFORE you start. Also, dont forget a new gasket from ford unless SLP provides one.

I 2nd the PB Blaster. I also recommend a socket extension and swivel adapter for the pass. side. I think that is the one I had most problems with.

Same here, its was a PITA to break loose due to angle.

Its like WD-40 times a million. I like it better than wd, just seems to cut the rust better.
