What is your take on the new Edelbrock intake manifold(both FI and carb versions)? Also, does anyone know who sells it or if it's even on sale yet?

I am getting one of those intakes as soon as they come out for sale. The carb version is junk though. Putting a carb on these cars is pointless. The intake is just the lower manifold. It bolts up to the stock style intake elbow. I can order them through my work as soon as they come out. I tried to order one already, but the part number for the manifold isnt in the system yet.

 

Edelbrock's site says that it doesn't bolt to the stock plenum but instead to a standard Holley style flange. Also, the point of the carb version is to make installation in older non-fi cars easier. They have the samething for the LS1. I just wish they came out with a version for the 5.4 since it may save some space to use a 4 barrel throtle body and a in filter maf (that's if it is the same height as the stock 4.6 manifold).

after looking both of those over... I'm still pretty sure the HPS manifold will be the best comprimise of price and performance, especially for blower cars. We'll see...
