CF Hoods
what do you guys think of this hood on my car?

it costs a pretty penny but its cf...ill probably get it painted some cool design to keep the c/f look

I could be wrong but when I was looking at that style hood, if you do not have the cobra bumper there is a huge gap between the top bumper pillars and the hood? The hood does not dip down in the front as much as others.

And why pay the extra money for a carbon fiber hood and then paint it?? I think it's dumb, the weight saving ain't gonna matter that much. Just get a nice fiberglass hood if you want to paint it. Saleen has one similar to the 03/04 that's fiberglass.

i mean paint the sides ...before the crease of the cowl...kinda like blitz's old car (MPH member)

Dude that hood is $750 shipped. Thats a lot of money for a hood. There are a lot of places you can get a fiberglass hood for like $250. I was reading some mustang magazine the other day while taking a **** and they were advertising all style fiberglass hoods for $249.00. I think its in the latest issue of MM&FF

If i were to get a CF hood, id get the cowl hood and leave the cowl CF and paint the sides. That would look a lot nicer and flow way better with the car and the paint scheme then doing it to a cobra hood. And like others have said, unless you get the ABC exclusive cobra hood, your going to have a huge *** gap between the hood and your bumper.
