Not to be a complete @$$ or anything, but dude, you have to know to teach. you have Audiobahn. I own a car audio shop, and Audiobahn is like the Kia of car audio. The 2 brothers that own audiobahn need to be shot. If you want good product try something more along the lines of Cadence, MMats, or Adire. If its stocked in big corp stores it was rushed through production and flashed up. Look at Kicker. Looks like chrome crap. I use to be a Kicker dealer until they worry more about looks than quality. thats what sells on corp stores. Oh and your 1500 watt amp is getting maybe 900 RMS if that .

i totally agree with you about the quality. but it was nice of the kid to offer help to people that are otherwise totally lost. i have MMats subs in my car which im about to take one out because of the weight issue (one MMats 12 is more than enough bass for everyday driving, hell i won spl comps in my old car with 2 of their 12's). we need a better audio section on these forums. i'd be willing to help with any audio questions as well.

Thats why i said im not trying to be an @ss . But if your going to help people you cant turn them onto a brand that they arent going to be satified with. I dont know many peeps at all that like Audiobahn. the voice coils are crap and no SQ at all. Same with Kicker solo barics, what a gimic. Nice SPL but thats all your gonna get. Most i carry is high quality xcept one brand but its unbeatable for the price and has 5 year warranty. Ya MMats will knock your di*k int he dirt. Ever heard of Adire? If anyone has questions ill be glad to help as well. Not much audio is spoken of on here. Here is link to my shop and show car.... http://www.gotstang.com/profile.php?04redmach1&page=2

hahaha, well cut a hole in your roof. Your car will be the box. Then put a roll cage in for subwoofer support. Drag a diesel behind you so you can keep your charging system up. Then punch yourself for paying that much for a sub that you could easily out beat with 2 MMats juggs or 2 Adire Tumults and spend alot less.

Finally! Someone with audio knowledge around here! I used to compete with resonant engineering running re xxx12 and re 35.1 LE in my daily driver beretta. I also used to have an sq s10 truck that took 5th place at 2003 usaci finals with pheonix gold zxti 400.2 and 600.2, mb quart comps (psd series i think), and mb quart psd(?) dual 10s.Ive always used alpine head units. I got out of that stuff but lately ive been gettin the bug again. Id like to install some comps/amp setup like macrom, morel, seas, DLS, or something along those lines with a car computer.

Battery is a yellow top Optima. Rockford 800 a2 and 800 a4 (overkill on the 4 channel). Two Rockford DVC HE2 10" subs. I will need a new alt for the engine swap since the cobra is different than the GT.

Back in the day when I was really into car audio, I liked more than I do now considering Best Buy carries it.

IMO, i cant stand them. Only the new HIGH priced $hit is worth a damn. Sell outs just like Kicker. When you go to a big corp store you mass produce which means you rush production, cut corners, and make it flashy. try a differ brand for quality.

yea, i got the same question as him, but my budget is 700...cause im buying small mods for my car also....I was wondering what 12"s to get and if HiFonics amps would be good enough (run each sub off each amp) ... If i can afford it, if not ill get alittle more cash...I was thinking Solobarics 12"s or 15"s? (could 2 15"s fit in the trunk of a stang, maybe pushed ALL the way back as possible to where it would be touching the seats almost?) ... thx ((I want loud, but not too loud, prefer quality...))

its possible , but box would need to be built with sub facing up. And if you want sound quality STAY AWAY FROM KICKER SOLO BARICS. SPL based subs. quality is crap. Go with 2 nice 12's and have someone build 2 seperate boxes for you so you can put one on each side of trunk, ( like mach 1000) . If you want check out this site.

You may like them, but to my professional opinion, they are crap. Yes they look good, but thats because their sound quality cant sell. Again im not being an @ss, but thats fact. Try out Adire, if you like Audiobahn, you will cream over Adire.
