I'm not sure what year your car is, so I am not sure what the tail lights look like, but...I have mentioned this several times here, but I am convinced you cannot beat static cling window tint, which is why I keep saying it.

Make a template out of posterboard, and drop $12 for a roll of static cling tint. Apply it with water, and you can take it off whenever you want. I was concerned about it sticking, due to the fact theres no adhesive, but it lays out great, and is pliable enough to stretch it a bit when needed.

This is the only shot I have that shows it somewhat up close, but here goes...

I got it at Auto Zone. Again, I was skeptical at first, but the stuff lays out just like regular tint. It's also thicker than normal tint, which I thought would be good for headlights and foglights. You dont have to worry about that, as it's going on the back of the car, but with a little time invested in making a nice template, I am convinced it's a great alternative to GTS plexiglass type covers...wont scratch anything either.

Alright, so you'll have to make a few templates, with the way the tail lights are...then just flip 'em for the other side.

There is no way I'd spend that kind of money on tail light tint.

To the OP: Do what BlueOval said. That is the best and most cost-effective way to do it.

It's worth it when the light comes through crystal clear

Your such a ***** Kevin. Lol. I'm sure Val just meant she wouldn't pay $60 for the tint. I wouldn't either, so overpriced. You can pick some up on ebay for $15.

I flagged this ****. Being as how you just quoted BOF and because you have all those bullshit links in your signature, I think this could qualify as spam.

it's called nightshade. it's made by VHT i think is the company. it works awesome! lets you make them as dark or as light as you want. i've used it on my taillights, side markers and even my ford emblems to complete my murdered out look and the stuff works great imo.
