Default Box sliding in back

I bought a sub, amp, and deck a while back and kept putting off having them installed in my car because installation prices are insane. After a while my girlfriend decides to tell me this guy she knows used to install stereo equipment and he will do it for free, so for Christmas my Dad bought me a box and my girlfriend had all of it installed except for the deck. Which I will be installing this week when I buy a transfer case for it.

My question is for anyone who has one 12" sub in their trunk. How do you have it mounted so it doesn't slide around, while still being able to access a spare tire, jack etc.

I have drawn up a plan to pull out the floor of the trunk that covers the spare, cut it and throw on a couple hinges so it can lay like normal and still open if I need to get at my spare underneath. But I wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas before I do that.

i have 2 8" subs bolted together. I use 3 3" nylon tow straps. 1 bonds them both to the spare tire well, the others control forward-rear and up/down motion. All 3 straps come off with 4 phillips screws and then disconnect the wires from the speakers and done for track days. I could not keep any other system of retaining the sub intact with the turning forces the car is capable of. I ended up just having to design that system so it controlled all 3 axis' of motion and could take several times the weight of the subs on each strap.

Kinda cheap way but you can use a gripper mat for trunks.

I have one 12 in sub in a single box and w/ the mach audio system i just push it in the center towards the back and then the plastic cover that the mach amps have keep the sub pushed to the floor. It never slides around and if I need to get it out I just wiggle the box out and disconnect the wires and i can access everything.
