The actual shifter it self. What happens is, there is a white **** that needs to be pushed down in order to allow you to shift gears, And on the shifter, it has a inclined plane that when pushed on sideways slowly pushes on the ****. I cant tell if the **** isnt moving or if the shifter is working right and my car is fucked up, which i kinda doubt.

So it's just the button not working correctly? Does it engage when the handle is off?

Wait a second.. Now I'm really confused. From the pics you posted earlier, it looks like the white "****" as you call it is the button for the overdrive. That has nothing to do with the operation of the shifter itself. The shifter is operated by pressing the side button in, just like the stock shifter was. So which one are you having trouble with.. The white OD button, or the side button used to "unlock" the shifter? You must be doing something wrong, because the very first customer comment on their says says "easy to install."

It is easy to install, he is referring to when you take the shifter off there is a small white plastic "nub" sticking up, and in order for it to go into gear it must be pushed down to go from gear to gear. The o/d button is triggered purely as a sensor switch electronically by a couple contacts and a wire.

I personally think when he took the shifter off, that the spring that needs to go in between the shaft and the new shifter itself is missing or something along those lines... this is a easy install, take one cosmetic shifter off and then replace it with a new cosmetic shifter, re-run the wires to relocate the o/d button and make sure the new shifter is secure and you have tightened the allen-screw so the new shifter stays in place.

No the spring cant be between the shifter and the ****, because the spring has to go between the button that pushes on the nub and the shifter
EDIT: Whatever i just called AM and they said luckily that they would refund it, so anyone have any good shifters they like?
