Question My Mustang Interior

Ok so I am totally new to this forum and just got my Stang like 6 mos ago.
I am looking to changing up the interior design, I am really not sure of what I should do to it yet, but I have an idea of what I wanna do to it.

See I wanna go with red and black interior or silver and black...although i don't know where to start in the recreating of it..I have been looking online at americanmuscle.com but not too much on there jumps out at me with a good picture of what i wanna do.

So I figure you guys might have some good advice and/ or places that I should check out to getting my Stang lookin better.

Thx for the tips!

If you like red and black, check out the 03 cobra interior

Would be kinda pricey, but you could put your own twist on it...

You could paint some interior pieces and you can have your stock seats or aftermarket seats recovered in any pattern you want.

Silver and black is a definite no-no

Seriously? Did you really just go there?

Anyway, what color is your stang? I don't believe I've seen it...???

My stang is black, and the interior is standard black leather..

Where would you go to get your leather two-toned like that?

I think if you have some silver inserts in there (a lot like the the red inserts in the Cobra pic), it'd add new element to your interior but it's not overwhelming...it's like a classy mod.

I know this is one of the SN197s, so it's not the best representation of what I'm talking about...and it's not the best picture of the seats, but here's just a quick image I found.

Ya thats more the idea i was thinking about cause its not bright and out there its nice and simple but adds an accent to the inside.
See I am just starting on my stang so I have alot to get done to it on a very small budget, also wanna lower it like inch and half but idk yet

Go orange and blue
No but Kings suggestion looks pretty good. Like you said, its not too bright and flashy but itll make it look good and different from other Mustangs.

Question New idea for my interior

Ok so I am thinking about this idea, the only thing is idk where I would start...anyone painted their own interior parts before?
If so..
How would i go about doin it, and what do i need?

And would the red color go well with my car since the exterior is black on my car not red??

That's a little too overdone for me, personally, but if it's something you're interested in go for it. I think you're solid on the idea of red, you might try a more basic red other than the laserred (or similar) shown in your pic. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was SxyXc who just painted his center column orange, so you might ask him how to go about doing it.

Ya I really like the red idea, I just dont know if its really going to look right because in the pic i posted ^ the entire car is that red and so the inside is accented by it, and see my car is all black and so putting the red in it might be too much.

But idk I will keep looking around to find something that I really like before I do anything to my Stang.

Thanx for all you guys' help

Greatly appreciated. I will be sure to have more questions and comments for ya'll lol

If you're going to paint anything red in the interior of your car, only paint the radio bezel and the shifter bezel, otherwise it's going to look really overkill.. If that's not enough, the only other thing I would consider painting red would be the door bezels.

That's hot, I like it, but I'm not sure if I'd do it and I kind of want to see how it would look with a black car too.

What kind of color is that anyways?

Check out the MGW and UPR billet interior pieces. Clean and classy look if not over done. I went with the satin pieces and glad I did.

Like WN said, if your going to paint your interior bezels just do the door bezels and the radio/shifter bezel. It starts looking cheap and tacky painting everything you can such as the ac vents and the gauge bezel.

The billet pieces are really nice if you want to pay for them. I just wish they didn't cost so much.

Personally I think that most guys go overboard with the billet.. The window/lock switches, cruise, wipers are too much for me..

I like the satin billet in moderation, UPR has some awesome AC/Heat switches that have black inserts and they give such a good even flow of color. I think the only billet stuff I would do in a Mustang would have to be the AC *****, shifter bezel ring, door lock pins, MAYBE the hand brake with the rubber grips and possibly the headlight **** (because the stocker looks like poo). They would all have to be a satin tone though, the chrome shiny look is just too much for me, especially in the SN / New Edge interior..

Agreed. Satin pieces in moderation looks great though, I'm very happy with my setup. I got the two toned black and satin pieces where possible to help the flow.

lol, looks nice. Little too much for me, but it looks pretty good. Those are the AC ***** that I really like, they're just so much nicer than the plain 'ol billet.

I like the way he used the Billet, I have never liked billet but i think the minimal use makes it look much more classy
also i dont care for the beige seats but i like it on the dash and wheel.
maybe i will just go with something more simple, like that.

Truthfully the only thing i feel should really be chrome on any car is the wheels, not really a fan of chrome.

Well, I think it'd be interesting to have black chrome interior trim pieces (dash bezel, door bezels), something a little different. I could see it working on a car with black chrome wheels or something. Might look neat

Just imagine my pony <------------ as the color for those pieces

Honestly I don't think it would look much different from stock, but it would probably be too shiny for my taste. You'd probably get a similar look with a gloss black..

Black chrome and gloss black look nothing alike when you see them in person.

Duplicolor Metalcast Smoke would probably look good

Look below the grille

Hell, the more I look at it, the more I want to do it myself.
