Default Opinions on my beige interior

Did i mange to pull it off? Most ppl that have beige interior, myself included, wish they had a black interior. But I managed to make the best of it and worked with what I got. I wanted billet interior pieces but thought theyd look like *** with the beige. So the key was too get the satin finish rather then the polished look. I didn't want a flashy, cluttered, or tackey look and I think I manged to pull it off and made it flow pretty well. Let me know what you guys think.

This may just be me, but I don't like the billet stuff. Not just in your car, but in general. I've always loved the two toned interiors, though. Looks sharp.

Also am thinking of replacing my beige carpet with black carpet to darken up the interior some and wont have to worry about getting the beige dirty any more. Looking at getting the kit here.

Is the Mass pad **** worth getting in the second link? Anyone get the carpet from here before? Hows the quality?

It looks much better in person then in those pics. I like your interior alot looks very good. I

Have you seen this coin holder delete?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...9930QQtcZphoto

They sell the same one cheaper that does not light up and is a polished look with a black horse on it. Or one that says mustang on it. I am getting the 5speed one for my car as the coin holder is ugly and is never used.

King- I hear you on that man, I didn't like the billet stuff for awhile either, but then it grew on me and I really wanted it.

3.8ftw- Thanks man!!

Spike- Thanks dude. Never seen those cup holder deletes. I have seen the GT one and just the solid one, but not those. I can't really tell if that lit up one would look cool or if it would just look tacky and stupid lol. That 5spd one looks really cool. I'll have to look into that.

I just noticed the gauge pod...I love those! I don't have a reason to have them in mine, but someday I'd love to get them.

Thanks, I like the look too. I got Water Temp and Oil Pressure. Oil and water are two of the most important things to watch. The line on my oil pressure had a crack in it so I have to replace that before I put it in. So I have a volt meter there for now.

I too wish it was a boost gauge in it's place though....

I too had joined cup holders in my '99 sixer. It's probably a year thing that they changed the same year as the spoiler-deal.

- Sean,
How much did those gauges and gauge pod cost? and was it difficult to install? I might be able to use water and oil gauges because I take my car to the track a lot during summer...and I'd like to have the pod there anyway just for interior looks, you know.

Got the ac ***** from MGW. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_1990-2004.shtml Quality is great. I like that their pieces are two-toned with black, helps keep the billet look from being over done.

Yeah the cup holder design changed in 2001 as did the spoiler and headlights.

Got the pod from AM. http://www.americanmuscle.com/kirban...uge-94-01.html

But if I were to get another one i'd go with this one. http://www.speedofsoundllc.com/1994-2004MustangPod.html

Yeah I like the look of gauges there, and plus its actually functional because it gives you exact readings other than the stock idiot light that just tells you good or bad, nothing in between. Worst thing that can happen to the car is overheat or run out of oil so it's worthwhile to have.

Got the pod for $20 and the gauges for $50, so about $70 total. I got the gauges as a triple gauge kit off ebay and put the gauges into the pod. I looked awhile for gauges that weren't ridiculously priced and one that looked good.

As far as install, it was easy to do, but difficult to get to lol. They always put things in the most damn awkward places. I found out when installing my new water pump it would have been easier to remove my power steering pulley to get to the thermostat location easier(not sure how it is on the 4.6). The oil was the same, easy, but awkward. I wanted to keep my factory oil pressure sensor so I got a "T" fitting that would allow me to use both the factory sensor and my gauge sensor as well, but fitting it in there was a bitch, very tight fit. If you need it broken down more just ask, I can take pictures as well if you need.

I have Oil and fuel in mine as I A-need to know if the motor losses oil pressure. And B- Need to keep an eye on the fuel pressure when running my nitrous to not go lean and kill the motor to soon.

I think that mustang one maybe the non lighted one would look nice in your car and they are like 12bucks.

Yeah, I wouldn't need a lighted one as I don't race at night. Hmm...guess I'm really going to have to win that AM contest now, huh?

He is referring to the lighted coin holder. The gauges you will want lighted up though, I have mine lighted up red.

I think you pulled it off just fine. I like the bullet stuff. I think the black carpet would really set the inside off.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of beige interior either. Thought about dyeing the interior black but I'm not sure how it looks in person, I might just end up buying the interior panels off ebay. Seen them go really cheap on there, and slowly piece it together, idk though. I like how it is now so I'll have to see.
