2001 V8 Third Brake Light

I have a 2001 V8 convertible and I just purchased the "Mustang" third brake light decal. Does anyone know how to install it? I wouldn't think that you would just stick it on. Does it go under the lens?

Well is it a decal, like a sticker? If so, here's some directions for you. Take the tape of the back... and stick it to your third brake light.
