Question Windshield Polish

So my beater car's windshield is in pretty bad shape with scratches and stuff, really hard to see in the rain. I've been looking at some of the polishes but it looks like alot of work and it's hard to judge the results. Was wondering if anyone has tried it and what kind of results you got, and how difficult it is to do?

You arent going to polish out scratches in glass with any paint polish. Lake Country has a kit for glass, http://www.lakecountrymfg.com/spec_products_GPSPRO.html

And even that will remove only very fine scratches. If you can catch your fingernail on it, it probably won't buff out. Also, although you'd have to stand on it for awhile, but you can get the glass hot enough to melt the inner laminate.
