Default lift off hoods?

was looking around the web for a cowl hood after seeing 3.8lmustangs pics and there is a big price difference between the lift off hoods and the bolt on hoods on some web sites. anyone that has used lift off hoods have any pros and cons to a conventional bolt on hood? i am married with children so money is always tight and if i could save alot going lift off i would like to know if there is any benefit other than price.

Im not sure how safe a lift off hood would be on a daily driver.

Friend has one on his Camaro, perfectly safe. Hes got 4 pins. 2 in the front, 2 in the rear. He tosses a blanket over the roof and places it on top of that when working under the hood. But handling the hood by yourself might be a pain in the ***, thats the biggest problem. Its light as hell but awkward to handle alone.

I had one on my fox. Yes it is cumbersome putting on, but that lasts for about 2 weeks. It was also my DD.
