I parked my car the other night and there was a terrible storm and I have a shitload of little brownish red spots and some will wash off and some wont even with a scrub brush.... do i need to use a remover or a better soap compound?

and the shammy i bought it terrible, are there any better brand shammy's?

Pick up some 3M adhesive cleaner.

 

clay bar it. it will do wonders. i was at a friends house for the night with the mustang and i had no choice but to park it under a pine tree. i had gotten a decent amount of sap on the top of my car and i couldnt get it off. me being young and naive (this was 2 years ago..lol) i left it.

i bought meguire's clay bar and 5 hours later, my paint was as good as new. wash, wax, and wash again, then quick detail it was perfection.

if that doesnt work, you may need to get a rotary/porter cable with an abrasive and then it really should come out

 

He should use a chemical cleaner before using an abrasive method. You also dont want to polish it until the contaminant is removed.

 

i dontknow how to polish so yea... but its just a shitty scrub brush from discount auto parts and a basic soap, nothing topshelf...

do you think that clay baring is an abrasive method? and i dont think that i said to polish with the contaminant on..sorry if what i said was confusing.

 

Microfiber wash mitt or Microfiber sponge. I'm am new to the detailing thing but that is what everything i have read says. i understand using a brush for the stuk on crap but it isnt the best for the paint. What is the stuff, do you know?

Claying IS abrasive, you're rubbing clay on your paint. Washing your car the wrong way is abrasive. Of course there are different clay bars and some will marr more then others. You also probably wont see it on some colors because it is usually very light.

Stephen, get some 3M adhesive remover like I said. Wash the car and use the adhesive remover with a microfiber towel. Wash your car with a microfiber or lambs wool wash mitt.

 

I know what it is, its gonna be leaf stains left when the rain pounds water into leafs stuck onto your paint. I have had them they suck. They can be taken off with washing but it will take forever. You just need to clay the car and it will take them off no problem. Then a nice polish and wax or sealant and your good to go.
