I cant belive this! I have been in contact with a person from k2motors they have a online store in ebay and I was asking for a shipping price for a SMOKE CCFL HALO FOG LIGHTS
so I got a email back, and bear in mind that the fog light alone costs $86 usd. so... I got an answer and it was that the shipping alone to Iceland, Reykjavik with UPS would cost $345 USD!!!!!!! I could buy 4 fog lights for 344 USD!

I asked why the price was so high??! This was his anwer:

The shipping & handling fee is not just the cost of the shipping but also the service that we provide. The rate of our shipping & handling fee is a competitive rate which most of the eBay seller charge, we are just following the market price. Some sellers charge even higher shipping & handling fee. Please understand we state our S&H cost very clear when we post our auction on eBay, buyer should acknowledge all the fees before they bid on the item

I just dont understand that, because I´m an agent for a shipping company in Iceland called TVG-Zimsen www.tvg.is and I cant get why he puts on this high price. So I contacted DHL and UPS agents and they gave me the price of 50 - 60 USD top 80 USD because they dont have the measurement of the shippment. He rates a shippment to U.K and Germany for 60 USD so it would actually be cheaper for me to send it to U.K or Germany and sending it back to me in Iceland then to let him send it for me for 345 USD For real! The item costs 86 USD!!! Whats wrong?? Doesnt he know where Iceland is?? Iceland is actually closer to the USA then U.K or Germany! And also I checked the price rate from his website to Denmark and that was 80 USD Denmark and Germany actually connect they are next to each other!

I´m trying to find another company that sell´s this product because this is just unbelivable. But otherwise my aunt lives in the states I could let them ship it to her and then let her ship it to me. But I would prefer to get it straight to me. Ohh well just wanted to share this with you. Because this is my main problem when I´m trying to order something online!

 

lol... i never believe ebay shipping prices, they are quite often pretty outrageous.

 

On Ebay is it pretty common for people to try and make up for the cheap price of the actualy item in the shipping. I'd buy from someone else or try to make them understand that you not an idiot and won't pay outrageous shipping charges.

 

Hehehehe yeah, I wrote him a long email regarding this outrageous shipping charge! I´m looking somewhere else
