Default GT Emblem

Hey guys, saw this kid at the pump while I was getting gas this morning....driving what looked like an 03/04 body style 'Stang...had a GT badge, but didn't look like a GT at all, if that makes any sense. The chrome GT badge wasn't the badges I've seen, it had 2 lines, the first line said GT, but it was in a CURSIVE font...and below it, it said 4.6 Liter V8 I think. Does this sound right for that body style?

I heard him drive up, didn't sound anything like a V8 to me...just didn't sound like a GT.

Not a big deal, just confirming my suspicion that the kid might be a faker *LMAO* :P hehehhe

what do you mean 03/04 body style? all mustang 99-04 have the same style and 03/04 cobras have different bumpers and side skirt. it sound like he had after market badges.

who knows, there are so many options out there anymore for changing things like that...

I think for the 100th Anniversary of ford they had that on the side of it...

similar to this maybe?

probably just some kid that decided to badge his sixer as a GT. They do sell after-market badges that say 4.6l blah blah. If there was nothing on the trunk lid then 95% its a sixer haven't seen many GT owners take that emblem off the trunk and leave it blank

Well the GT's are 4.6L And the Mach1's have a 99-01 Cobra Engine then with the hood and appearance of course.

Most Saleens were GT's with 4.6 L with some appearance pkgs, suspension, and and then you would find some Cobra Saleens....and they even did a select few V6 Saleens back in 98's...but a very few of them...

*LOL* yeah exactly

I mean yeah you can have the GT appearance packages I know, cuz my V6 has it, I have the GT hood, etc....but the badging..it just didn't look right, and I know that couldn't have been a V8 engine I heard, so *L*

No biggie, just makin' an observation

I love it when you see V6 Cars that have every emblem on earth from all Mustangs...

I saw a car one time that had GT/Cobra/5.0/Turbo Emblems on it and a few of my friends went up to the guy and said so what ya got under the hood, and can ya tell us about the turbo on it..we were like go ahead and start it up and he was like well I have the turbo turned off from the switch ????

We were like yeaaahhhhhh rrriiiiggghhhtttttt!

Could be a guy who changed his badges to a different style GT badge.. with a stock exhaust.

Emblems are nice but the one I dislike is the Ford badge on the back right side of the trunk. I know how to heat the adhesive and I usually run a flat fishing line thru the glue but when I get down to the bottom of the emblem it feels like there are two prongs sticking into the trunk lid. Does anyone know if there are two holes in the trunk? If there are I'm going to just leave it on. Thanks alot! Oh I have a 98 GT.

my 02 has 2 holes in the trunk for the ford emblems there is 2 posts on the emblem. If you take the emblem off you would have to put a different emblem on to cover the holes
