Question Removed Emblem - Now How Do I Get The Emblem Tape Residue Off?

Hey all. For some reason (possibly took to much, or not enough of, my ADD meds) I had put the SCT emblem that came with the XCalibrator 2 I bought, onto my car. After about a week, I thought better of my actions, and pried it off. But that has left the "car side" of the double-sided emblem tape stuck on still. Any solutions or ideas? Thanks.

Heat makes it peel off. I usually use a hair drier. Just hold it against the sticker crap for a couple minutes, then pull the residue off. I suppose goo gone and elbow grease works too.

Thanks Zip. I'll try the free hair dryer idea first before I pay for the goo gone idea.

Heat + Goo Gone. Use an old Microfiber cloth to get everything peeled off. If you use your fingernail be very careful not to induce scratches.

MAKE SURE TO RE-WAX THAT AREA AFTER GOO GONE!

3MMM (SCOTCH) makes an aerosol spray that is made just for that kind of job. You will have a better chance of finding at a Auto Body&Fender supply store. It will remove emblems and decals with no damage to the paint. If your using a hair dryer
be real careful cause you can damage your paint real easy. I've been there and done that before.

hey some 3m adhesive remover, soak a paper towel with it, put it on there and prop something against it to hold it in place. come back in 30 minuits and it should wipe right off.
