Question Rear Wing\Spoiler\Fin Removal

Good morning all. I'm looking to remove the rear wing\spoiler\fin (whatever you'd like to call it) on my 05 GT. I had gotten some advice awhile back from some of you on what to do as far as dealing with the holes that would be left on the trunk lid. Last weekend, out of curiosity of what it would like, I went to take off the wing. I unscrewed the bolts from inside the trunk, but then found that it still wouldn't come off. What I didn't realize was that the black "things" between the wing and the trunk lid, weren't just gasket\sealer\trunk lid protection as I thought they were, but apparently are double sided "tape". (For lack of a better or correct term.)

So my question is, how do I safely (as in not scratching, denting, or otherwise harming either the wing itself or the trunk lid) remove the wing and the "tape"?

Thanks.
