Default Wash/waxing/old wax

I didnt wanna hijack that other dudes thread bout his black car so I started my own.

Heres the deal, Ive had my 01 gt for a little over year, been washing/waxing it, clayed it a bit. But it just never seems to have that "oh **** that car looks damn sexy" look to it.

Could be because ive never polished it, who knows. Anyhow Ive been using meguires gold class wax, as well as whatever there nice smelling car wash is. Same goes for there clay bar kit.

Any ideas?

How does one accomplish this? I heard someone mention dawn in another thread, but I thought that was a myth?

Am I just washing with damn then claying then washing with meguires again?

That autogeek.net site has good info but I didnt see a run thru.

You dont need dawn, wash your car, clay it, wash again, then polish with whatever you like, and top with whatever you like be it a wax or sealant.

A wax wont do much for a finish that wasnt corrected properly. You need to remove the imperfections with a polish/ machine first.

So more than likely I should invest in a porter cable and go from there

Unless you want to get it professionally done, then maintain it on your own.
