Default Can i put on my bumper before it gets painted?

my question is can i put on my bumper at my house and take off my old one before it gets painted so i dont have to pay for them to take off my old one? do the painters usually take the bumpers off and paint them by themselves or do they paint them with it on the car?

why dont you jsut give them the bumper that needs to be painted and then jsut pick it up whens its done and install it yourself if you want to save money.

what good painters do is they attach the bumper and make sure everything lines up. then they take it off and paint it in a paint box. the put it back on to the car when it dries, blend the color if necessary, take it back off and spray the clear coat on.

so if you wanna align it youself feel free. besides, it will cust down on the labor part

Just let the painters do it. You're saving tops 2 hours worth of labor which totals to less than $100 (unless your painter is greedy).

takes me about 20 minutes to swap a bumper. It's easy.

hundred bucks for 2 hours of labor. thats funny

install the bumper yourself. you may need a rivet gun to attach the fender brackets on the bumper. i had to with my stage 3 bumper. its real easy installing just pull the fender lining out a lil bit to get to the bolts.

The guy I went to when I hit a tree charged $44 per hour for labor. If you pay more, you are getting ripped off or out of your mind since you are letting the dealer do it.

its very easy to put on your own bumper, esp. if its a fiberglass bumper. Save yourself the labor costs.
