cement on my car
Hello,
What can I do to remove drops of cement from my new paint job? There is a 4 story condo being built next to my house, and my driveway is pretty much right below the construction. I've already had a talk wit the GC and they want an estimate to fix the paint. There are small drops and spatters of concrete that have been baked on by the hot florida sun and I can not get the spots off with my fingernail. I think that whatever it takes to remove the cement is also going to remove the paint/clearcoat. There are at least twenty of these little cement spots on different parts of the car. Can anyone give me some advice on removing cement from a Mustang?
thanks,
Erik

Hmm, I can tell you right now, that the cement isnt going to come off, or come off without scratching. You can try clay but watch out if it comes off so it doesnt scratch. You can also get a towel, soak it in enamal reducer, and place it (DONT RUB) over the cement spots for about 10 seconds and try and pressure wash it off.

So i ripped it out, built a redwood step. Im working on putting in a patio that is gonna look like grouted cobblestone. Already got the cedar Pergola built. I call it my "White Trash Conversion". The interior of my house is freakin nice, been remodeling it for 2 years now. So now it is time to work on the yard which was totally white trashed out. Im turning it into the "Tabor Street Grotto" LOL
Nothing like some beer and a jackhammer when yer hung over. LOL....

No Need for the jackhammer, unless you want to help me to tear down that building next door to my house. I used to have a vacant lot next door. I managed to remove the cement with a dishtowel and some diluted CLR (shower cleaner). I dripped the CLR on the cement spot, and you could see it foaming over the cement. I rbbued gently for a minute or two and the spots came off. The paint does not apear to be damaged at all. The GC agreed pay for my car to be detailed. So all is well.

cement remover
I figured this one out on my own. I was looking around my apartment for something to use to remove cement spots and I came across CLR. I figured CLR removes lime deposits, and my friend was telling me that lime in cement will eat my paint like acid. So why not give it a try. It worked out well, and my paint was damaged only slightly on a couple spots.
