antenna length

alright, i'm purchasing some different appearance mods and noticed that the stock antenna is ugly as hell...just wondering if you guys would recommed the 8" or 14" black antenna here from MT? i just don't know if the 8" will look retarded b/c its so short... reception doesn't matter b/c i never listen to the radio...it is simply an appearance thing, thx

Would the 14" have better reception that then 8"?

I have the 8inch, it has great reception. Diddnt notice any drop, some people have though. Probably depends on where you live, im in the Denver metropolitan area towards the mountains. no problem. Others living in more rural or near smaller citys see drops in recp

and it looks a lot better than that RC Car attenna that comes stock.

dont buy one...just cut the stock one...i did...
i used a dermel tool with a cutting disk...cut it to match the roofline and ripped the ball off the end and tapered the fat end down so the ball could be superglued on....then i went the extra step and painted the antenna black...
looks great....and was free....

Thats what I did to, with the stock antenna. Ill have to measure how tall it is. But I lost some reception with it. I just ordered the 14" one.

dude, i didn't even know there was an antenna delete plate...do u remember where i could find one of those?

I got the 14". Lines right up with the roof line. Radio reception is just as good as before. I like it, looks like how it should of been from the factory.

my mom has a 04 v6 vert mustang...
im 15...i have my permit...lol
im gona get a Gt in a year or two.....or at least supposed to...lol

I have the 14" and its perfect. no loss in reception and it doesn't look too short..I think the 8" is too small IMO.

Antenna delete FTW!!!

antennas are ugly as hell, doesnt matter how long it is. mine is deleted and it has a hidden antenna thats in the top of the A pillar.

The 2000 Cobra R had one on it. Heres the link. Its about 2/3s of the way down the page. Its $10.
