Default meguiers 3 step crystal system!

ok just a quick ? for those of you who have used it. i just bought it and was reading the instructions on how to use it, and i guess you wipe the 1st on in i would say a 2x2 ft. square and wipe off immediatly or lets say a body panel? and then i guess after the 1st you would use the 2nd in the same way? a piece at a time and wipe off immediatly until you get to the 3rd and final stage. this you treat just like any wax and let sit and haze up then buff off for a brilliant shine? thanx for any info for i am just starting to get into the detail thing now having a garage and can afford to spend some time on a beatiful shine.

Ive always done the whole car and wiped it off when im done. Im pretty fast though. Ill do the whole car, buff off quick with a microfiber and then go back over the whole car with another clean microfiber to get anything I missed.

Theres a sticky at the top of this forum for automotive detaling links that proved information and great how-tos to help you get started.

I did mine in about 4 hours. I'de do like the fender, then the door and so on in sections untill that step was completed. Once i did everything i continued the same process on the next step.

I can wash, clay, wash, cleaner wax, two coats of polish, and top coat wax in under 3 hours.

I prefer to take my time on it considering it's a black car and if you have any flaws you will notice right away. Last time I rushed i had streaks in the hood and had to go back and redo it.

:stupid: If I start early on a Saturday morning with nothing really planned for the day I might even take longer.I like to take my time and see how good of a job I'm doing.

I take at least an hour almost every night just wipeing it down with my detail spray. And yes in the summer I do it almost every night. My car alway's look's JUST waxed and looking like I'm heading to a car show I enjoy doing it,it kinda relaxes me after a crappy day at work.I have people every day say something about how shiney my Stang is

Rock on bro!! When my cobra was my DD I would do the same thing. My neighbors would walk by saying "you are going to rub the paint off your car:bash: ...I was like you need to wash your car more than 2 times a year. I love driving around in clean cars; represents the image that you carry for yourself. No need to have nice things and treat them like crap.
