Default Car wash recommendations?

I have a tired old 1997 black mustang and need a good wash and wax to try and bring some life back into this tired old paint job. I been using armor all wash and wax as u dry gel... its ok but i want somethen better. Expecially for my hood which is really faded over the years almost grey:wallbash:

Any ideas?

something easy, cheap ($5 a bottle) and produces good results is the meguiar 3 step process; it called Deep Crystal System. #1 is a Paint cleaner, #2 a polish and #3 is a carnuba wax. You can find this at any autozone, pepboys or the like. These can all be done by hand as well. Should bring alot of life back in your paint.

If you really want to restore your paint you are going to need a pc. However if you are doing it by hand then try the meguires three step like mentioned above

I have been washing cars for 30 years and i can tell you that you can not go wrong with either Maguires 3 step or Mother 3 step. They both work very, very well. You can do the entire car by hand.

Now, I prefer Sonus products and I generally mix and match.

Just get the Maguires and you will be happy. Clay bar first if you have a lot of oxidation.

I current scheme on my black Mustang is that I use either Sonus car wash or a car wash that I got from NMRA. Both are great. Each time I wash, I hit the car with Sonus Detailer spray. This is the absolute BEST detail spray that I have used. I also like the Eagle one and the Maguires detail spray, but the Sonus is outstanding especially on black. It has some acrylic in it.

Then, I top it off with P21S with a high grade carnuba. But, like I said, if you use the Maguires 3 step you will be happy.

Like MT#1 said Meguiars is good product line and their professional line is some of the better product base out there. The link below is for the normal process that is used on my car:
