Pics of replacement bumper, advice requested
Ok. So, i got the bumper cleaned up pretty well. Standing about 6 feet back with good light you really cant see the scratches. it has a nice deep rich shine
Now mind you, the flash brings out ever single imperfection on the close up pics, they dont look quite as bad in person. The pic of the whole bumper is really how it looks in person untill you get up close.
The front is in excellent shape, no scratches. On either side close to the wheels are some pretty bad ones that seem to cut through the paint. The one area of real concern is second pic at the base of the headlight. The structural integrity is fine, however, a lot of paint got chipped off. Then the orig owner used touchup paint. It is not as bad without the flash, but it still aint good.
I cant buff these scratches out. I really dont think i can.
What would you advise as my best route.
A) Taking the ****ing thing as it is to macco and having them re-paint the whole thing.
B) The front is real good, the left and right side need new paint. I could have them re-paint the sides, sand down below the headlight and have that repainted.
C) Sand the whole thing down myself and re-prime it myself and have it re-painted.
D) Other suggestions?
Im going for cost effective, i have time to do some of the prep work myself, i dont know what grits i need to sand myself if i do so.... any suggestions?
