Default man i have great luck

well on my way to school today im sitting at a light with a slight incline and there is a work truck in front of me. there was about 2-2 1/2 feet of room in between us and wen the light turns he rolls back in nuetral right into me i wasnt even paying attention and hardley knew he hit me cause it was so slight. wen we pulled into the next parking lot i saw the damage its pretty much nothing but im still pissed its about 3 inches long and not thick at all its like a little creese. the only thing that hit me was his trailor hitch. what could i do to fix it i mean its really not worth getting a new bumber but if it cant be fixed im making that *** pay for a new cobra bumber. wat do you guys think i should do and how much would it cost.
thanks

I don't know what the traffic laws in NJ are, but here, if you are behind a car at a light...and he rolls into you. It is your fault for not giving adequate room for release and go. 2 feet between is nothing, should be at least 4.

Get an estimate how much it will be to fix. Have him pay for it but dont fix it as its not worth it unless you are going to be in car shows but you should still make him pay as he was careless and most lessons are learned when money is lost. Fix scratch with touch up and use the money to buy something else.

That sucks man.....I had a situation kinda like that, but I was sitting at a red light on a busy street and a lady decided she wanted to back up and park along the street....she barely tapped my bumper where my license plate is....anyway, it didn't cause any damage, but it scratched her car a little.....there was a Sheriff's Deputy right next to me and he saw the whole thing.... Then she said, oh don't worry about it it's no big deal, but we took each others info...

later that day she calls me and said she's filing a claim against me for rear ending her....she was a lawyer.... go figure.....so being that I work for an elected official it made it easy for me to track down the Deputy that witnessed it and asked him to write a report on what he saw...of course it was in my favor and it made her look like a lying witch.

The point of my story is people are lying bastards when it comes to stuff like this. They will say anything to get out of trouble...If you ever did talk to him again he probably would say you rear ended him!

1000 bucks? hahaha

The bumper is probably 500 and its not going to cost 500 to paint. Well if it does id look somewhere else. I work for a dealership and I was told 100 bucks to take off old one, paint new one, and put it on.
