Default Good Luck Bad Luck...

Good luck? I'm the last to get it...
Bad luck? I'm the first everytime...
When its good... There ain't nuttin better...
Whens its bad? There ain't nuttin worse...

^^ My ****** life story...

So... The other day, I decide to swap out the rear 7.5 axle that is about to grenade at any given time with an 8.8 out of a wrecked sn95 I have. 3 hour job... took the better part of three full afternoons and still isn't 100% complete.

Pull out the 7.5... nuttin but problems... Drive shaft bolts were tightened by a ****** ape... And I had to wrestle the damn thing to get the dern bolts out of the son r bitch... Lucky for me... it weighs nothing. But I cut the parking brake cable, so that got done quick.

Pull out the 8.8... I get the parking brake cables disconnected, all I have to do is pull them off... I wanted to keep them and use them, but the drivers side simply would not come off no matter what I did... Cut it, oh well, I don't need a parkin brake. Other then that, pulling the 4 control arm bolts was a bitch, but not that bad...

Installed the 8.8... Cake... Go to hook up the brake line... oh, nice... Come to find out the the flexy brake line on the sn95 8.8 is on the left side of the rear, and the one on the fox was on the right... Woo! Of coarse, brake lines got fucked up while I was working on making them work. So I had to fabricate everything myself... that was fun...

But good news... now I'm done! Right? Wrong... Get the wheels on, jump in, start her up, put her in gear. The driver's side wheel is wobbling like all hell. Ok, switch wheels... Nope... Axle is bent... yay...

Today, I pick up a new axle for 20 bucks... And heres when I know something BAD is gonna happen...

It took me 20 minutes to pull off the bent axle, install the new, and fill up the banjo with some nice fresh lucas... Nothing ever goes so smooth... Oh yeah... Go to put on the brake... hm... The axle is WAY TOO LONG! Hooray!

So I spend an hour capping off the brake line so I can have some damn transportation...

I have a mustang with 3 brakes... for now... Get the right axle tomorrow, and God willing, Have it installed with the brake in under 30 minutes...

Good news... it was all worth it... The car, ever with 3 brakes, stops much better then with the shitty drums. The car pulls much much nicer. Turns nicer. Drives nicer. And I have 10" wide tires in the back (as opposed to 6") so I stick to the road better. Night and day difference... My buddy can feel the difference in the passenger seat...

POSI FTMFW!

nothing is ever a bolt on. You should know that by now. hehe

I know how it is though... putting on my fuel rails should have taken 20 minutes... took me the better part of 3 hours.
