Anyone ever heard of washing you car with dishwashing detergent???

i heard you can do that to take off all the old wax to clay bar it??? anybody ever heard if it?

Yes it is the only time too ever use it on your car.I do it once a year to strip it down and start fresh!!!

yea that is what zaino recommends but if you are going to use a cutter of some kind to get swirls etc out of your paint that will more than remove the old waxes.

i did this over the winter on my car. need to use dawn. i cant remember why though. i read an article that said the reason, but i cant remember.

it strips all the waxes off your car and "presents" a clean surface to start your new detail.

Dawn is what I use also for wax stripping. Then I claybar.
