Default Started "My Retro" look to my MACH 1

I bought my first mustang of my life at 29 and by luck it was a mach 1 and boy do I love it!! I have been into showing my previous car and enjoy shows so I will be doing that with this one too. I want to keep the classic retro look it has and i dont want it to look like a cobra or a GT but I do want to put my own flair to the retro look.....so here are the pics

when I bought it:

Name: 100_1877.jpg
Views: 36
Size: 42.0 KB

and now today with the side stripe removed, the hood stripe revamped, and the typical honeycomb panel. Also changed the side pony badge.

As for outside looks I want the roush spoiler and a 5 spoke deep dish wheel..... ENJOY!!!

I should have said that too ...thanks for the reminder. I am putting another side stripe back on in the same flat matt finish but with no fade and a little bit wider so you can see it easier. I have to get that next week though

whats so special about the MGW compared to the steeda triax?? J/W seems like everyone around here is steering me towards the steeda triax one

exactly...a friend of mine steered me towards the H&R sport springs instead of the Super Sports and now I'm getting the Super Sports a year later and he's getting a good deal on my Sports. Like SpikeAfrica said - get the one YOU want.

However I do have the MGW and I love it. :shifty: Yet to hear/read anything negative about it. Heard everything from "I love it", to "It's ok", to "It feels notchy" about the Triax.

Car is hot! Hood is different and mean looking. It goes well with the grill.

I like that a lot, sweet car.

Take the time and clean those 4.6 side badges! I have the red and they get water spot stained veryyyyy easily, mine look like **** 5 months later.

do you have experience with the mgw shifter? i have used the upr, pro 5.0, steeda, and the mgw, i have owned the upr and the mgw and my good friends car has had the pro 5.0 and the steeda. the mgw is far superior to any of the other shifters. if you read this thread - https://mustangboards.com/modular-4-...ax-or-mgw.html. most of the people chose mgw. a couple of them have used steeda and mgw and prefer the mgw. just to give you an idea.

^^THX!!

Appreciate the comments guys!! I have spent a TON of time doing the exhaust searching on here to find the right combo. I narrowed it down to the flowmaster and the borla and just couldnt find a good video of the flows but plenty of the borlas....then today I met a guy with a cobra that had flows on it and realized I like the borla sound WAAAAY more....

I ordered my mgw a few days ago and its coming in tomorrow. I also have yet to read a negative thing about from those who have used it. However, those who have the steeda kinda flame it, but they also have never tried it.

most i heard about steedas is that they are notchy. i drove my roommates bullitt a few times with the tri ax and its not smooth at all it gives a lot of feedback while you shift. i dont have a lot of drive time with a manual but i didnt like it.

exhaust good luck with that i just know that borla stingers are real expensive.

If you like road racing or any SCCA driving try Roush's shifter... it's dif feel but makes for better shifting in road racing...just my op.

Hey kelley, this is off topic but I was walking on those rocks one night hammered as hell with some friends and a couple girls walked by and I started to stare and stepped in a hole and fell on the rocks. it was pretty funny but it hurt.
