im planning on getting a tune but duno if i should wait until i get heads and an h-pipe, my last two bolt on's left. should i order now and somehow re-tune later? or should i buy the bolt ons first n then tune? is it too complicated to re-tune for 2 more mods?

tune it, its not that hard to retune it, just get as many bolt ons as you can before you tune it, but getting the xcal is definatley a great mod
if your getting it dyno tuned then wait too much money

a dyno tune is the only real tune imho. They put your car on dynograph, a machiene that reads your HP/TQ to the wheels. They hook up a wideband 02 sensor (to check A/F) and a tuner tunes your car on the spot, it is the best, safest tune you can get

dyno tune is the way to go.. soo much more accurate. I've seen so many mail order tunes be WAY off.

Definetely get the dyno tune. I have the Diablo Predator Programmer and the tune it came with made my car run crappier so i'm going to get a dyno tune after i finish my mods.

Here's what I suggest to those in this position.

If you get a mail order tune we are able to pinpoint where your car probably is with the mods that you have done to your car. Once we do this, if you are finding that you want a more accurate tune, take your X-Cal2 to an authorized SCT Dyno Dealer, and run your car on the dyno. You only pay for Dyno fees and the tune. No extra charge for the programmer. They dyno operators can use the files of the tuner on our end to fine tune your vehicle.

I would do what MTShambles said i have heard alot better things about the Xcal2. I like my programmer because i can change the settings but the actual tune it came with sucked. That was the Diablo Predator though.
