Here is a good way to remove oxidation (hard dark gray substance on rims) off of your aluminum rims. I did this on my cobra r's and they turned out really good. First things first clean the rims as best as you can. Second go to your local autozone or anywhere that sells car cleaning products and pick up some degreaser ( I used Greased lightning orange spray), also get some Never-Dull (This stuff is amazing). Once you have picked these items up follow the steps.

1. Clean rim thoroughly
2. Spray degreaser and let it sit for 1-3 minutes
3. wipe off rim
4. Tear a small peice of never-dull scrub the parts where oxidation have occured. Note- it is not going to come off right away you are going to have to really scrub hard (be patient) trust me its worth it!
5. wipe down with rag and spray with degreaser and keep scrubing with the never-dull until oxidation is gone.
6. Polish wheels with mothers or any other polish
7. enjoy!

mother's power ball! it is the ****! just be careful not to hit any sharp edges while it is rotating. it can rip. use some liquid metal polish and go to town. let the polish turn black and keep working it. i took off 2 years worth of oxidization off my polished aluminum rims when nothing else would work. now it only takes a couple of minutes to do all four rims. it also works on those frosted over headlights. (make sure you do them when the ball is new or clean it really good before)
