Default Reverse glow gauges

Ive had some V6 reverse glow gauges for awhile but havent put em in because I not quite sure about it.

The MT guide is pretty helpful, except for a few things like it doesnt say what to do with the external power source box, namely how to secure it so it doesnt wiggle around. Also, it says to connect the positive wire to the headlight wire "any way most convenient to you", but does that mean splicing them? Finally, i have to drill a hole into the frame behind the gauge panel and use a ring terminal. Dont know what that is. If anyone could enlighten me it would be really appreciated.

The gauge install is really quite simple. I did it in about 20 mins. The power inverter box can be stuck inside behind the instrument cluster using the double sided tape on the back of the box. I just laid the box in there. There really isnt any way for it to dangle and put stress on the wires. The easiest way to connect to the positive wire is using a tap-in connector or scotch connector.
Here's one.

Just make sure you get the accessory power. Pull your headlight switch out and use a multimeter to see which wire has power when the key is on and the headlight switch is on. Only then should you see power.

And here's the ring connector
