Default My 2003 GT

I am a japanese owner of 2003 mustang GT in Japan.
Living in saitama.(1 hour from Tokyo)

I put 2 stage-NOS system control by MOTEC M800.
1st stage -- +80HP from 2500rpm
2nd stage -- 1st stage + +60HP from 3750rpm
NOS cut rpm - 5750rpm

without NOS 270HP
1st stage -- 350HP
2nd stage -- 410HP
Transmission is stock AT(4R70W?).
Especially after I used 2nd stage,
There is a burnt smell! Is that come from AT?
Tire is still stock Good Year 17".
But this not come from this tire I think.

How can I fix? :helpsmili

basicly your spraying 140hp threw a stock mustang thats ok if you got the fuel system etc but thats the problem, the problem is with that setup you are putting a ton of stress on that tranny and with a shift kit or upgraded valve body and a tranny cooler with deep pan, its slipping badly and smoking your tranny fluide this is very very bad.

TO fix it you need to:

A-check the fluide if it is red and does NOT i repete NOT smell burn its ok. If its dark colored and smells burt you need to change it asap. drop the pan replace the fluide in there around 7 quarts comes out of the pan and valve body drips along with a new filter

B-Add a tranny cooler asap this will help the tranny from letting the fluide get to hot whihc will kill your transmission. Remember tranny fluide is the LIFE BLOOD of your tranny burn it and it will burn you.

C-add a shift kit or do the jerry mod or upgrade the valve body. this will make the transmission shift faster and firmer so it wont slip on the shifts whihc will help it not ot over heat.

after this you dont need to but i would add a deep tranny pan that holds more flide this helps keep more heat down.

that should do it fi your tranny is toast all ready which hopefully it is not.

Thank you Spike

I am very interested in adding a tranny cooler with deep pan.
But upgraded valve body is also needed. right?

Can you suggest which product is the best or available?
Please tell me company name & products if you can.

Injectors. Fuel pump have already been changed.
(Now 39lb injectors)

Thank you

well you can go to www.summitracing.com and search this part number BMM-70264

that is a B&M tranny cooler that will work great to help cool your tranny, its also pretty easy to install.

Here is a part number for a transgo shiftkit too this will help it not slip while shifting part number TRG-AODE

Thank you very much! I will buy this.
Price is not so expensive. I like it.

Then I will try more HP gain again. +180HP (+70%) is that possible with stock pistons?

I change fuel pump to new FUEL PUMP,99-04,450HP MOTORCRAFT.
(you can see Dallas Mustang HP: http://www.dallasmustang.com/page/pr...=&product=9141)

Since it has no return system, it is working very well.
Fuel/Air ratio, Inginition timing are completely control by MOTEC M800.

Others:
1. C&L cool intakes,
2. BBK header
3. X-pipes
4. Flowmaster Exaust

Thank you

i would not spray more than that with that fuel setup. Its alot of nitrous for a returnless fuel system to handle. i really wouldnt go over 150hp max on your fuel system. it simpley cant handle it.

You should be pretty happy with that kinda power as is.

Default Return fuel system

What kind of problem is on returnless system?
It is just required to be able to perform fuel supply completely & correctly.

Can you suggest a kit of return fuel system which adequate to my engine?
I want to make it about more than500H.P. in the future.

Thank you

you can buy a cobra tank that has dual pumps. or you can get a boost a pump to send more voltage to your pump to keep up with the horsepower.

i have the same fuel pump you have. when my car was getting dyno tuned my fuel pressure was dropping to 30 psi at 5500 rpms at 408 horsepower, i also have 42 lb injectors. so your pump can probably keep up with the duty that your engine requires. to be safe i put a boost a pump on to keep my fuel pressure at 42 psi.

one more bit of info that i gained from my tuner. the horsepower rating for that pump is for a manual transmission. you can subtract 17% from 450 and you get the horsepower rating for AODE's. ford also uses those pumps in the svt focus.

you want 500hp from that stock engine, man thats not really a good idea on a stock ford motor. you really dont wanna make more than around 400rwhp on the stock motor anymore and its simpley to much stress for the stock internals.

As for the fuel a cobra tanks and pumps are nice but its still gonna have a nasty lean spike when the juice hits. I reall think you should get some aftermarket fuel rails and run new lines for the system. But thats me. me personaly i would just leave the nitrous shot where it is and do other mods. Your pushing it as is with that about of nitrous on a daily driven stang. Just get a kenny Bell Boost-A-Pump and that will make that SVT pump put out more fuel, wire it up so it turns on only when the nitrous is on and you have a safer fuel system.

You can still get a set of pulleys, thorttle body, aftermarket plenum, cams intake etc.. to make more power with that nitrous you have.

they all do regardless i would wire it up with the nibe on full blast so when you arm the nitrous system it only then kicks the pump voltage up as thats the only time your gonna need it.

No,
You can only use the SVT forcus Fuel pump which flows 210lph or the Aviator fuel pump out of a lincon SUV that flows 310lph. just go to the "ask randy" section on these forums he can get you the big aviator fuel pump which will work.

You can only use these as our cars have a returnless fuel system and those pumps are made for cars with return style fuel pumps.
