Default I just baught an 2003 V6 Mustang! *HELP*

Hey, whats up guys? As I said I just baught a 2003 V6 Mustang Coupe. It is Sonic Blue color. I will post some pictures of me and the car tomorrow when i wash it. But for now.... I was wondering if some people in here could help me with a few issues?

Well first, i just baught 2 12'' sony xplod subwoofers, and a 750 watt sony xplod amplifier. But the thing was that the 2 12'' subs are to big in the custom box there in right now to fit in my trunk. I really dont wanna rebox the subs becuz the custom box there in right is awesome. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Ok then also.... I was wondering what i could do to get more "horsepower" out of my V6. As of right now everything is stock. PLEASE help with any info/links/advice you can give me.

hahaha, well bro I see what your saying but I am a newbie when it comes to cars and car parts so I am gonna need a better break down of the parts and stuff. Lets say I dont have alot of money to spend on the car at one time, then what do i do?

I am only 18 and I have to pay for my car and insurance and stuff so its hard to get that money to spend on my car.

ALSO I forgot to mention that my V6 is Automatic!

ALSO ALSO ** if anyone knows of a good painting place around the California Los Angles area let me know. i need to paint a spoiler i baught and repaint the front bumper because of scratchs.

ALSO ALSO ALSO (sorry about the so many also's, haha) If anyone is in the California Los Angles area and wants to join a AWESOME Mustang Car Club let me know because I just joined one and they are AMAZING people.

Cold air intake, other than that dont waste your time. I shouldn't be one to talk cause I know i cant afford that car but I would say if you care about performance I would trade it in asap for a V8. The V6s drop like a rock in resale value. I had a friend that wanted to get his V6 ***** but, It was cheaper just to get GT. You can put cams , exhaust , supercharge it , and a whole bunch of other things if you do want to make it go fast tho. I dont know how many places sell aftermarket performance parts for the V6 engine gl man.

yo i also got a 2003 V6, honestly, the best first thing to put into your car is a cold air intake. I'm usin the one from Mustang Tuning and it works great, and it also help with your gas mileage. Aside from that and an exhaust i'd stick with visual mods, check out my car domain page to see some of the stuff i've put on mine, As soon as my Black FR500's come in i'll have somethin to wrap these 4 Pirelli tires with. Lol apparently i have to wait 4-6 weeks for them to ship due to a typhoon. but yeah CAI, Exhaust, oh and with the exhaust just say no to an H-pipe, u'll loose horse power, stay cheap with either a dual kit from MAC or Flowmaster or a cheap x pipe.

Yeah dude, a lot of the GT owners are really ****. The first day i bought my 2002 V6 i posted pics here and everyone was like "OMG what a P.O.S. you should trade it in for a GT". Really, I dont give a ****, I dont feel like driving around a v8 because i drive in traffic a lot, and a v8 aint gonna really help much in traffic. But yeah, its my car, i'll do whatever i want to it. But just a word of advice, just put on the basic bolt ons (Cold air intake and dual exhuast), and then just everything els put exterior parts, wheels, lowering springs, kit maybe. The way i see it is, Chicks dont care about whats under your hood, they just care about how your car looks.

true f**king that brother! yo man, i couldnt have said it better myself. and i really dont care if these GT lovers dont like my V6 either. But dont get me wrong i would've gotten a V8 or GT if i had more money and i wasnt 18 and paying for my OWN insurance.

But anyways... ya i wanna put that cold air intake but i think ill need help with installation. I live in Van Nuys California. I also wanna put that dual exhuast but i am not sure which to get. i need to talk 1 on 1 with that chick "stang gurl" she has a VERY VERY VERY nice V6 that shes done some AWESOME stuff to.

anyways

Figure out yer sub situation yet?

Personally i think yer best bet would be to build a new box. Get one of the rear-seat delete kits and use it as the front baffle on the box. You'd lose yer backseat, (big whooP) and you would have dual subs built in facing yer back.
I think that'd be pretty sweet.

Just do us all a favor and dont crank the gain up to the point that yer amp is clipping and yer subs are bottoming out.

Make sure yer licence plate and trunk dont rattle either, that is the lamest crap. some dumb kid with his stereo boomimb, clipping amp, bottoming out sub, trunk sounding like a trashcan full of rocks.

keep it tight and smooth

Ya i havent figured out what to do with my subs yet. but i am not to worried yet because i dont have a head unit to hook everything togeather, so until then... but i was also looking at problly selling these 2 12'' sony xplode subs because there in a custom box and it would be pointless to re-box the unit.

also does anyone know that if its possible to hook up some pioneer 150 watt speakers to replace the current ones there. right now i have the mp3 single cd MACH sound system (there are no tweeters on this system, its pretty cheap). because i heard something about the wiring harness or something being a problem and not being able to do certain things...
