Depends on how you treat your clutch. If you just drive it around town like me, and never launch it on slicks.....then itll be fine. The stock clutch hasnt slipped on me one time. If you try to launch it on slicks you might grenade the stock clutch.

I want to put a nice clutch and flywheel in mine this summer....

No. Sorry to say its pretty expensive with all the bells and whistles.

The Base Plate Kit is $660 Retail. Its rated from 50 - 300whp. Has all the nice solenoids and a great bottle. However you can order it in as a "Mainline Kit" which still uses the plate but only uses the standard bottle, and smaller solenoids that are only rated to 100 shot. Its gets all the same perormance as the Normal NX kit but its just without all the flash and some power capability because of the solenoids. This kit will cost you about $400.

GenX 2 Kit $350
Window switch $75
Tach adapter $75

All that comes to: $1160- normal or 900- cheapo

That will get you the baddest nitrous kit for the 4.6 that you will never have to worry about going too lean or blowing your intake. It beats other sprayed cars. But all thats without a purge kit....

Oh yea and the fuel pum will cost you $100 if you install it yourself. But prolly $300 if you pay someone.

So the absolute Maxed out Plate kit with purge and all the beans could end up costing $1660 before installation.........Hmmmmm.. Im starting to feel dumb now........Why didnt I get a blower?

I built mine up easily.

I first had the Zex kit and sold it along with the heater and purge. Then I took that money and bought a base Plate kit without the purge or heater.

The next week I took a little money from my check and bought the window switch and the tach adapter. (just now got it hooked up)

Then I finally bought the GenX2 kit after a while. Oh yea and I forgot the GenX2 comes with a puge kit. So the most it would cost is $1460. So thats not so bad.

Default axles

I have to concurr that axles are a waste of money and time - the odds of you needing them are well... nill - i mean you need to push alot more power than what people are talkin about here - dont get me wrong "better safe than sorry" - but pointless in my opinion

I wouldnt say a complete waste but your right the rear end on our cars are a lot stronger then most people believe! Ive had my car since brand new "99" and i ran BFG drs. for 4 years w/3:73 FRPP gears. I never snapped and axle!! The only reason I end up changing mine was cause I curb shot it in the rain bent everything in the back right side :wallbash:

There have been people that snap the axle on pretty much stock cars. 500 ft lbs of torque from nitrous will definately snap it. On street tires prolly not but on slicks you need stronger axles.

I get my nx plate system within 2 weeks. I will be running 125 shot. Can you recomend plugs for me?

Yes the best plugs I have found are NGK TR6. I have used autolite 103's but those are too hot. Definately never use a platinum plug with nitrous. On a 125 shot you really want at least 1.5 heat ranges colder. The NGK's are 1.5 colder.

Do you have the fuel system for a 125 shot? You cannot run that shot with a stock pump. Its really prolly puttin 150 hp at the flywheel. It sucks alot of gas. If you dont have a fuel switch then you will need one.

No I dont a fuell switch. So I better stay with a 100 shot, right? Will that give me over 100 rwhp? Thanks for the information on the plugs.

Yes definately dont go above a 100 shot with your stock fuel pump. You could run a 125 shot if you have the fuel switch on it. Because the switch will cut the nitrous off if your not getting the fuel.

I havent had mine dynoed yet but im telling you its more than 100rwhp. Make absolutely sure that your car has a good A/F ratio. If you have it done right, then the thing will be a monster. I beat a LT1 camaro that had a 125 shot of NX. It wasnt really all that close either.

The 3 best things to have with your nitrous is a window switch first, then a bottle heater, then a fuel switch. If you have those 3 things then your nitrous will spray automatically when you hit whatever RPM you want and you wont have to worry about it.

It so much more fun when you have a window switch. Plus when you dont have a window switch your always waiting for 3K RPMs before you hit it. That slows you down. If you have the window switch you can really drive it like you want.

Thanks man. I already have a window switch by baker electriconix. It goes from 3000 to 6000 rpm and I get the automatic bottle warmer the same time.
So I think I am doing this all right. Where do you get a fuel switch? And what kind of rear wheel hp and torque can I expect, from the 100 shot?
Thanks.

You can get the fuel switch anywhere that sells NX stuff. You can order one from http://www.nitrousexpress.com

I dont know exactly how much its making but it will be AT LEAST 100hp and around 150 lbs of torque. Some people have made like 130rwhp from a NX 100 shot tuned.
