Default Installed my nitrous- smells super rich-normal?

I finally installed my Nitrous Express plate system on my 99GT this weekend. I have a 100shot nitrous tune from Americanmuscle on my SCTII programmed in. After having some fun(and during) my exhaust really smelled like gas. Are these kits really that rich???? Just wondering. There are no leaks or anything(checked a few times). I really like how it pulls! Need drag radials now! I'm gonna get it dyno tuned in a few weeks to be safe. Just asking to make sure this seems ok.

Every nitrous company jets their kits rich so you don't blow your motor on there kits. If you smell gas after a pull on the bottle its pretty normal. Just the unburnt extra fuel going through the exhaust system. My car has been know to blow flames while on the bottle. I'm sure your tune from AM.com is super conservative too and most likely adds extra fuel in which doesn't help either.

+1 What he said. When you get a mail order tune it will (or it should) always be on the conservative side. The N2O kit's jetting plus the tune all works to keep your motor as safe as possible. Could your car handle a more aggressive tune...maybe. Dyno tuning is the only safe way to find out if you can yield better gains, but not everyone has the cash to do so.

TOO rich isn't necessarily a good thing. But yea, better then being super lean.
