Default who here got this email???

Fist I am sorry everyone for using this mailing list. But If you have time, please read this. It may save you TIME and MONEY in the future.

ATI Procharger and Exotic Performance do not go after their product

This is a true story for the community. Feel free to email me if question. I will do whatever it takes to get the right justice at court and if I win the case, the judgment will be post all over on the internet.

Exotic Performance
Bob does not keep his words. Inform 1 year warranty on the kit, but denied his words when contacted by ATI on my procharger. I still have the original book with warranty information.

ATI Procharger
Jason does not keep the words, and try to avoid the warranty which already been checked and accepted with an RMA number
Todd tries to find any problem on the setup to blame avoiding the warranty but found nothing wrong., ridiculously denies the warranty because “the procharger was build in 2003” even though he committed understanding that the purchase date was in 2007 and it’s still in the warranty time.

Here the story:

I bought procharger C1 kit for Honda Civic Feb 2007 from Bob, Exotic Performance. He told me that I would have 1 year warranty on the C1, shipped and send me the original booklet and warranty information which clearly state I have 1 year warranty on the blower.

The C1 was running fine until end of Aug 2007. It started making small noise. I thought it was normal so still lived with it. The problem than came worse. The ping noise is louder and louder no matter how often the oil is changed.

I took the blower off and observe that the impeller bearing is loosened. I pull it in and out. I left the blow in the garage for a while during the Christmas and New Year time, then again Chinese New Year.

I called ATI on Jan 21st , talked to Jason, told him the problem. I checked my C1 serial number and informed me that the C1 was built in 2003 and said it was out of warranty. I then told him that I only purchased this C1 last year from Exotic Performance. Jason took the information, accepted the warranty “OK, I will take care of it. I will give you a RMA number. Just drain all the oil and ship it to us…” he said. At the time I was happy and told him that I would ship it in with a week.

The procharger arrived to ATI on Feb 11th 2008. Todd called me on Feb 12th and informed me that a small piece is broken inside the C1 causing the bearing loosing and making noise and ask me $700 to fix. I told him I would have the warranty covered as the RMA number that I had provided when shipped. He told me he would look into it and talk with Jason again.

Todd called me again latter that day and told me that my C1 is not warranty. I ask him why?

“Jason and I already call Bob. It was built in 2003. You can call Bob”, Todd said.

“But I purchased it last year in 2007 and the warranty starts from the date you purchase not from the date it was built. And why I have to call Bob when you already verified with him that I had bought this last year? If you want I can fax you the receipt and the warranty slip”, I told him

“I understand, but it was built in 2003”, Todd said.

“Why do you deny a warranty while it’s still in the warranty time? You know the warranty starts from the date you buy it, why you want to give me a hard time? I will do whatever it takes and if I have to bring this to court, I will win. I have all the information about the warranty and all the receipt over here. Please, I don’t want to give you a hard time, so please do not give me a hard time”, I said.

“Let me talk with my supervisor again and call you back latter”, Todd said

Today Feb 13, 2008, Todd called me and left a message on my cell that he would have some questions about the setup.

I knew this situation, I have read it online that they will try to find something on the setup to blame for and will ridiculous ask you to send the picture of the setup etc… But you all know after all they deny the warranty anyway.

I called Todd back and told him I knew such situation and some next steps that he will ask me to do. And yes, exactly like that

“Did you install it on Honda Civic? What year? Did you use the blow off vale? Etc”

“Yes, the PLASTIC blow off vale Bob send with the kit. And seriously, C1 is used for different application, other small car, ford, Z350 etc. So it doesn’t matter. It states and Bob states that 1 year warranty on the C1. And seriously, if something wrong with the installation, the bearing on the pulley side should be loosen, not some pieces inside on the impeller broken common” I said.

“Oh yeah, I understand, and I don’t blame on the installation, but I just talked to Bob and just want to make sure you have everything you need to install” ????? He said after finding nothing wrong.

Oh my gods, they try to sell me something?????
“Well I feel I have spent enough time and effort to try to solve the problem with you and I knew that you will find anything to deny the warranty, but your reason is ridiculous, it was built in 2003, ridiculous. Please pack it back to the way I shipped and ship it back to me. I will do whatever it takes to find the right justice.” I said.

I will definitely file a small claim court, and will publish this story to every public forum in the internet. Hope people just like you think twice before you do business with such companies. It may save you time, energy and money with your decision.

If you have question, just shoot me an email at LittleTig3r@yahoo.com

Thank you and sorry to used this mailing list to send this story to “Procharger community”
