Smile Do 4.10 gears and a supercharger play well together??

Ok heres the deal, I have an automatic tranny and I just got 4.10's but didn't install them yet. The reason why is because I heard that you need 3.73's for nitrous or a supercharger. I am about to buy a set-up that includes the following:
Vortech V2-SQ Supercharger
42lb. Injectors
SVT Focus Fuel Pump
90mm MAF
SCT XCAL2 w/3tunes

I want to get this set-up and run 4.10's!! Is that ok to do...I would think it is a great combination but I need you guy's opinions!!

Yes, 4.10's and your S/C setup will go together PERFECTLY. Automatic cars with Centrifical Superchargers require 4.10's period, end of story. I have the EXACT same setup as you and have a 5 spd and wouldn't have it any other way. My friend has the same setup as me, except his is a T Trim, and he has 4.10's with an Auto and LOVES it. Now, if you were doing a KB or other Positive Displacement blower, then yes, 3.73's are what you want, but for a Centri...you need the gear.

With an automatic and that setup, he will be around 340 RWHP, 5 spd would be around 360 or so.

Alright thanks guys!! Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Hopefully I will be getting everything within the next 3 months. I was thinking that it would put out more HP than 340HP. Thats not too much, is that at the wheels? Cause I was hoping for around 380 at the fly with all my mods!!

340 RWHP is 340 to the wheels. You will EASILY have your 380 at the flywheel with that setup. Keep in mind that Autotragic is robbing lots-o-hp.

I'm stupid!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that you put RWHP. OK, well is there anything that I can do to get some of that lost horsepower? I am getting a new B&M tranny cooler this week, and was thinking about getting a new torque converter but I'm not sure which one to go with! Will these help with the HP loss?

Torque Converter might, depending on the one you get. Best option for getting back lost HP is a 5spd conversion.

For what it is worth, I have 4.10's and will be running a Novi-2000. Should be at 390 - 400. I think 4.10 with a centri style blower are fine.

HP isnt everything. 262rwhp 281rwtq, running 12.76 with a bad 2-3 shift. Next time out I should have a little bit more power and hoping for 12.5 or better. Yes, this is a auto.
