Default thoughts on smoked tail lights

I wonder if there is a measurement for legal limit on tail light tint, and also if someone were to rear-end a car with tl-tint.. would the liability/fault shift to the car with tinted tail lights.. (i.e... the other driver claims they couldn't see the tail lights due to the tint)..

just curious..

personally I think they look great and Im giving serious thought to them.

yeah dude but liability in almost all states falls to the rear person no matter what...their headlights would see you, people crossing the street don't have Taillights either lol...so i seriously doubt it, plus what everyone says is that you can still see them. Because they aren't headlights which actually focas out they don't get that much darker. Thats why you gotta take tint off headlights at night.

This shows that you are a complete retard because you haven't even done the research. In many cases, GT's and cobras are LESS than v6's(and when they aren't theyre usually even with the v8's). Don't reply again with "you're crazy man u dunno what ur talkin bout" until you call your insurance company and get a quote on a v8 with the same year/specs as your car. You'll see. and if it's a bit higher, it'd only be because the value of the v8 is higher...but by no means would it go "thru the roof".

lol right. I'm not hatin on the sixers but way too many people assume that v8's will kill their insurance but the fact is, insurance companies have different categories for the cars they insure i.e. compact truck, full-size truck, minivan, sedan, etc and the entire mustang family fits under "sport coupe". The only time a GT/cobra will cost more in insurance is if the bluebook value is considerably more than that of a similar v6. I'll call my insurance company tomorrow and record the entire convo to prove it to those who are still scared of calling the company

just for kicks, I did some quick quotes at diff ins comapanies on an 03 v6 versus a v8 and here u go....the actual coverage specifics arent important, just note the differences in quotes between v6 and v8...these are all 6 month estimates based on standard coverage rates(i.e. not too much and not the base)

Company V6 V8
GEICO 1355 1490
state farm 1273 1365
allstate 1590 1510

I also decided to try out some other cars on allstate's(thats the insurance I use)to see the difference and you'll be surprised to see....

03 cobra coupe = 1640
04 cobra vert = 1760
98 vette = 1350
04 vette = 1390
06 Z06 = 1620 <--- no, thats not a misprint
06 Ford GT = 3460 <--- haha, i was gettin a lil cocky and that surprised me, but for over 5 times the price of a new cobra, it makes sense

And they wouldnt insure an 06 viper!! not sure why bc they'd insure a GT.

this whole comment is a waste of space...

"ITS NOT FUNCTIONAL!!!!! - " - who cares? It looks awesome. if you own a mustang, chances are it has a side scoop and hood scoop that isnt functional so get over it

"pimp looking hood bu the extractors aren't foe real - saddening to me " - you had a chance at a good sentence by saying that it's pimp, but quickly made it worthless by whining about no heat extractors...wahh wahhh who f'in cares?

"but CHANGE THAT FRONT BUMPER PLEASE " - why? it's not necessary.

"03 cobra or cobra R and spoiler will do it!" - 03 cobra spoiler: way overprices and not needed and cobra R spoiler: you've got to be kidding. And cobra bumpers just don't look right on bullitts.

thanks for the info Danny, but from what i hear my insurance would be way to much money for a GT when i baught the V6 for full coverage. i do plan on getting problly a Cobra Vert within the next year or so when i return from Iraq (with that big chump of $$).

as far as this "bikerjoe" guy... get a life bro. i am not gonna go any further then that.

and i much rather get used to driving and have the V6 and learn stuff now, and then buy my Cobra when the time comes. i SERIOUSLY only see this whole bashing V6 Mustangs on forums and the internet... ive NEVER seen anybody bash or talk trash at Mustang Club meetings or anywhere else in real life.... i know a couple of guys who have really suped up Mustang Roushs and stuff and we all get along...

Default I'm very envious.-

Ciao Lance,
that hood it's "fantastico" and I like your Stang a lot. I would like to put something like that on my car but I'm warried about the shipping. From the States to Italy it's a long way and I'm sure I'll be going to get it damage. It's not the first time that I get parts scratched or bumped.
