Finally got some pics of the new rims. The is a slight color diff from the front rims which are still stock. After Christmas I will be getting 17 x 9 for the front. And then, yes springs. I will also try to get some better looking pic later.

Yes it is a Black Mustang without Black rims, I like the silver look personally.

What do ya'll think?

Christie, youll be fine, its like, 2003 and up are the same color as the aftermarket. Just something funny ford did. Looks great man, I love black with anthracite, and I was damn close to getting those instead of my black ones, but the black won over.

 

Thanks for the comments, and I am dying to get springs. I met a guy from Alaska (and I'm in Alabama!)with a GT that looked identical to mine, but he had springs and it made the car look so much cleaner.

Christie, the color diff is very slight on mine, I have seen newer Mustangs like Matt said and it looks like the color would be the same.

About the black rims, my brother was pushing me hard to get the black and it does looks sweet, but I really like the way black and silver look together. I didn't want to put stripes on the car so I decided to keep the rims a diff color.

 

Looks good. I was gonna just go DD in back but eventually Ill switch to chrome FR500s. How far off is the color? can you tell just by looking at the two or do you REALLY have to look to see it?

and I think black cars with black wheels do look good, but so do black cars with anthracite wheels.. either way is good

BTW Guys, my Black 18x10s showed up today, but the 18x9s are still in route...somebody light a fire under Shamble's butt, so I can get my rims....

Yea they are sumi's on the back. As for the color, when it is in the sun you can tell the diff. now it could just be that the person who had the car before me used some kind of wheel cleaner that affected the wheel. The front rims seem to be missing the clear coat, where the DD of course have all the clear coat. On mine the DD are a little darker, but like I said that could be from the age on the front ones, who knows?

nice rims and tires man, i just put the same rims and tires on the other day, yes the color dosnt quite match on mine either and i am going to be getting the new fronts after christmas as well, hahah. What do u think of the tires, i noticed that they dont grip all that good, but they sure do look badass and for $110 a peice you cant beat um.

how much was ur tint??

 

My tint was $235. But that is because they had to remove the cheap tint that the previous owner had on the car. The tint had bubbled and looked like crap, so I had to have it replaced.

The tires seem to grip ok for me, I haven't taken it back to the track yet so I am not completly sure it is is much better or worse. I have launched it and the back end dances a lot more than before, but it didn't break loose as bad when I hit 2nd like it used to. The $110 is the main reason I got them.

I will try to get a pic on here with that shows the color diff but it might be a day or two.

Yeah, the replicas match 03-04 bullit rims which are darker. Otherwise I would have just bought deep dish rears. Instead I just bought chrome saleens since I had to buy a new set of wheels anyway.
