Unhappy My stock clutch

dunno how it happend...Ive only put about 1000 miles on my car...oh well, I got ripped off to, I didnt even get a performance clitch, just a slightly better than stock clutch, its about $230 on the net, i was charged $310 ugh, but I got a new clutch fork and throw out bearing too, the pedal is REALLY light, and its hard to just go really slow, i hated it at first, but once you get used to it its so sweet, you put power to the ground QUICK its awsome
overall everything (clutch, throw out bearing, clutch fork, install, towing) cost me a grand...*sigh* i guess Ill have to wait on that hood

Sorry to see that man. I have to put a new clutch in my car soon because the dealership I bought my car from didnt resurface the flywheel when they replaced mine. Bunch of cheap DA's.

No signs of mine going out yet. I hope it stays that way too.

imagine if you had a car note and insurance to pay for. watch how fast that clutch would of been paid for..

how the hell do you afford this? you just got new rims, and cobra bumpers? now i you drop a $1000 on your clutch, how are you not in debt? my clutch and tranny work cost me $1300, which puts me currently $1150 in debt to my parents, a debt i make a $200 payment every month

I up graded from a stock to a XTD stage 3 at 65k miles due to the stock one not holding up to nitrous...after 1 run on spray it started to slip and squeal.

a grand for a clutch install? dang, that hurts.

I installed a spec stage 2 and it cost me around $400 with the resurfacing job on the pressure plate. and some new tools

Granted, I installed it myself

you got bent over on the install costs, that's ridiculous.

the clutch swap really isn't that difficult either.

in my old 95 mustang I actually blew the clutch up. I dunno really what happened, it was the car I learned to drive a stick on so I'm sure that contributed a ton to it. It was also the stock clutch with 100k miles on the car. When my dad took it out dust was all that was left.

Right now when I press in the clutch sometimes it makes a bit of a noise, like a squeak or something.. think I should be worried?

daaaam you toasted that clutch man. For sure you smelled some burning before that?? I used to replace the clutch in my 79 Z-28 every 1 or 2 years but I could always tell when it was going south. That good ole clutch smell after a good ole gear rippin burnout. LOL.
